I started blogging in November 2009. I’d just been made redundant from a job I didn’t really like that much anyway but felt I had to do because fell within the career plan I’d had for myself since I was around 14 years old (if I didn’t do that what would I do?!).

I’d read other blogs for a while (notably Kingdom of Style, Liberty London Girl, The Sartorialist) and as I had free time on my hands I just thought I might as well give it a go. I love having my own little corner of the internet (:

When I started blogging it wasn’t immediately clear that it would be about fashion so I just went for a title that basically gave the impression it would be me wittering on with myself! Plus I like alliteration. I actually don’t like my blog name now but feel kind of stuck with it.

I started blogging with Blogger and I changed to WordPress.org in May 2011. There are plenty of pros and cons for both, it just depends what you are hoping to achieve and how tech-savvy you are. If you’re just starting out I’d recommend Blogger but personally I just felt like I’d outgrown it and found it to be quite limiting towards the end.

I also have a Tumblr blog¬†which I use for finding and sharing inspiration, but I also sometimes post photos that don’t make it onto this blog for one reason or another (usually because I’ve been too snap-happy).

I have a full time job (that just so happens to be absolutely nothing to do with blogging or the fashion industry) so I blog in my spare time. It can be quite a challenge but I like to keep busy!

I usually use my Nikon D60 DSLR with a Nikon 18-55mm lens. I adore photography and own several cameras, so I sometimes use a Holga 120N or one of several Polaroid cameras.

My photos are taken by my boyfriend more-often-than-not. All of the photos that aren’t of me e.g. event photography, are taken by myself.

Any images not taken for the purposes of this blog and sourced from elsewhere are credited underneath.
