Debenhams AW11 lookbook
First I just want to say a quick hello to my new followers and a big thank you to all of you! I have now reached over 350 followers and I could never in a million years have imagined that this would happen – and it’s all because of you. So thank you!
Debenhams AW11 womenswear
I’m really impressed with Debenhams this season. We all know it can too easy to write it off as a store for your Mum and her friends but their AW11 lookbook has really made me think again.
In particular my eye has been caught by Red Herring (Debenhams’ answer to Topshop): there’s just the right amount of 1970s influence. I can definitely see myself getting plenty of wear out of the pleated skirt so that’s one purchase justified…
Debenhams AW11 lingerie
There is also a fantastic selection of lingerie, including some gorgeously retro high-waisted knickers and longline bras. Here are some of my favourites.

I’ve got so much packing to do before I move house next weekend. I’m actually hoping the weather will be miserable so I’m not too depressed about having to spend the next 2 days indoors boxing up my life (so if it rains, sorry – but you can bet it’ll be glorious). I’m going out for a few drinks with my friends on Saturday night, my little send-off if you will, so at least I’ve got something to look forward to!
So what are you all doing this weekend? Whatever you’re up to I hope it’s fun :)
River Island AW11 lookbook
After a dodgy chavvy phase a few years ago, River Island is now one of my favourite high street stores and so I look forward to their lookbook every season.
Whilst the quality of the clothing can sometimes leave a sour taste in relation to the RRP, I do love the footwear, handbags and denim, which is all good quality and really reasonably-priced.
I actually used to work at River Island and four out of five shifts would see me walking out of the store at the end of the day with a purchase or two!
In this AW11 lookbook I’m particularly coveting the simple shapes of the 60s-style shift dresses and the masculine blazers, not to mention the whole outfit in the middle heritage look (below). Something tells me the black mid-heel bow trimmed shoes will inevitably find their way into my wardrobe too!

lookbook: Reiss SS11
This collection is both timeless and modern: a gorgeous mix of feminine dresses and sharp tailoring, all in shades of black, white, nude, cream and beige off-set against popping jewel colours. There is luxurious detail in the form of sheer material, embroidery, pleating, and slinky, draping fabric.
Who cares about trends? This is how I want to dress forever. Oh-so grown up and oh-so sexy.
have a butchers at Elizabeth Lau’s AW11 lookbook…
“…packed full of cheeky charm and Cockney swagger…fresh grafitti intarsia collide with traditional hand embellishment to make wicked slogans drawn from Cockney rhyming slang.”
The whole collection is gorgeously bright and graphic, but I particularly love the slogan knit jumpers. Here are my favourite looks (shot by Jackie Dixon and modelled by EL herself along with friends and fans).

Isn’t is the most adorable collection?! I’m now officially on countdown for September, when the A/W pieces typically start to filter into stores. But in the meantime shop Elizabeth Lau‘s SS11 collection now.
